5 Virtual "Vacations" You can Take Right Now
We are all spending a lot more time at home right now and, for travelers, it can be extra tough being in one place for so long. I encourage you to spend time going through old travel photos and memories and check out my “14 Day Travel Challenge” if you have not done so already. We will be back to making memories before you know it but there are ways to get your travel fix right now. Here are some of my favorite digital experiences to take your mind to a new place during these tough times:
National Park Adventures
The beauty of nature is not only healing but calming and what could be better right now? Many US National Parks have online tours and walkthroughs. I also love The Hidden Worlds of the National Parks which explores some remote locations with rangers.
Royal Caribbean #VirtualoftheSeas
Miss cruising? (You know I do!) Royal Caribbean is posting virtual tours, trivia, and even a daily Compass on these digital sailings which are a lot of fun. One of their cruise directors is launching a new adventure soon - check it out!
Explore Musée d’Orsay in Paris
One of my favorite museums in the world, you can experience an online tour of not only some very famous works but also the glorious architecture of this building that was originally built as a train station. Although there are a lot of spectacular works, here is a great list of some of the most well-known.
Experience Harry Potter from Your Couch
Harry Potter fan? Experience one of my favorite rides at Universal Studios Hollywood right from your couch! Go on a virtual journey with this YouTube video of the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride!
Take a Tour of Ireland (Guinness optional)
Explore one of my favorite countries from the Guinness Storehouse to Trinity College and all the beauty of the Emerald Isle! This link is packed with wonderful experiences I can’t wait to have in person one day soon.
What about you? What adventures are you taking online, in books, or with your TV? Send me a note and let’s chat! Also, make sure you are following my Facebook page with feel-good stories and updates.
Stay safe!
