It's My Birthday!

It's my birthday! Usually, this means I am on a trip somewhere, celebrating with friends during what I call "Gregtober." 2020 certainly has made celebrations this year different, though, hasn't it? Birthdays, weddings, big celebrations - all postponed. And while the parties themselves are always fun, it is the people that we miss out on seeing that is the true loss.

My favorite aspect about traveling has always been the people I meet along the way. Many of my closest friends don't even live within 1,000 miles of me. Travel gives me an opportunity to connect with those I know and also make new friends - sharing new experiences with people. There is nothing I love more than sitting in a cafe in a random city and having a conversation with someone new. Nothing helps me think about the world around me more or cause me to consider new attitudes and thoughts.

Although I'm not able to spend this birthday in an exotic location this year, I AM able to share a digital smile with many of the people I have met on my adventures along the way. To my friends and clients, thank you for making this past year a wonderful one and being with me on this travel journey. I appreciate your trust in me and all the referrals you sent me along the way. Please keep them coming as we all hope to travel again soon!
