8 Places You Will Want to Check Out in 2019

Get ready!

As 2018 winds down, I want to thank all of you that booked some pretty fantastic trips with me this year! People have already been planning their 2019 vacations and I have been asked quite a lot about where to travel to in the new year. Here are some places that you do not want to miss!

Rio de Janeiro

You may have read about my travel adventures in Brazil a few months ago. (If not, check out my recommendations here.) Rio has a taste of everything - amazing food, exciting nightlife, beautiful beaches, and more. If you are looking for a luxury place to stay, I can't say enough about Fasano or ask me about specific destinations!

Berlin

Berlin is the perfect destination for anyone - history buffs to foodies. I spent about 3 days this summer taking my parents to see the sites and enjoying some towns off the beaten path. Take a look at my suggestions for a short Berlin trip.

Reykjavík

I probably plan a trip a month to this gorgeous destination. It has certainly become more popular but is still a wonderful place filled with natural beauty and interesting things to discover. The city is not the easiest for people who have not been but luckily I have been a few times and can help you out. And, my friends at Pink Iceland are always on hand to help with tours and more - they are the best.

Provincetown

Anyone that knows me, knows that this is one of my favorites. Theatre, restaurants, tea dances, nature, and more - all only 1.5 hours from Boston. Truly a magical place all year but especially May - October. Let's plan a trip so you can say hi to my friend, Miss Richfield 1981, and enjoy a stay at the most comfortable beds in town at Cape Colony Inn.

Ballyfin

Dublin

Another trip I plan often for clients is to this Irish playground. Dublin is a small, manageable city but one that is full of so much life. Outside of the pubs (which is enough reason to book a trip), there are wonderful sites to see within the city and within a short drive away. Want a luxury weekend? Check out Ballyfin, a sprawling 614-acre estate dotted with follies and grottoes!

Cruise Life

Not a "destination" per se but if you have not yet cruised, make 2019 the year to try it out! (And if you have, you know what a great way to travel this can be!). There are some beautiful itineraries out there like Alaska (read about that here.) or the STUNNING new Celebrity EDGE!

Mykonos

Pop into Athens for a day or two and then take the ferry or flight to Mykonos for the beach vacation of a lifetime. Stunning sites and glorious food - plus one of the best nightlifes in the world. There are a TON of great places to stay depending what you want to do - let's plan the perfect adventure ;)

Valletta

Located south of Sicily, Malta has become a travel hotspot over the past few years.  Valletta, the capital, is home to fortresses, temples, and other historic sites that will make your instagram shine. There are luxury hotels like the Intercontinental that are wonderful but also tons of unique boutique places to stay.

What do you think? Where do you want to go in 2019?
