Situated on over 400 acres, this property feels like a Mediterranean estate! Located just north of San Diego, the Fairmont Grand Del Mar is one of the top rated hotels in the country and is even TripAdvisor's #1 Luxury Hotel in the United States.

Awards aside, this hotel is everything you want in a stunning and relaxing weekend getaway. There is a golf course, 5-star spa, numerous dining venues, and one of the friendliest staffs I have ever encountered.

This past weekend, I was able to visit the property for a night away with some friends. When we arrived, we had a gorgeous glass of champagne in the lobby bar which overlooks a fountain area that I am sure MANY weddings took place in! Afterwards, we checked into our room which was spacious, wonderfully appointed, and walked out to the pool area. Here are a few pics:

That evening we went to The Clubhouse Grille for dinner - right on property. The burger was delicious and the ambiance was fun. Certain nights they have "Club M" which is a nightclub with live band/DJ. We checked it out for a bit - fun vibe if you are ready to get down!

Before leaving the next day, we enjoyed the spa, pool, and hot tub area which are all beautiful and relaxing. This property is truly a great getaway and place to enjoy some R&R!
