Dublin

I just returned from an incredible trip to Dublin a few weeks ago and what better time to talk about everything Ireland than near St. Patrick’s Day? I have always loved this city and find it to be one of the friendliest in the world. There is so much beauty in Dublin - and so much fun with its incredible pub scene. Here are some of my favorite places to stay, grab a pint, or learn more about the area.

Stay

The Merrion

The Merrion defines 5-star luxury in Dublin and is one of my favorite spots in the city. From the moment you walk in, you know you are about to have a special stay and the staff goes out of their way with special touches. The location is great - a short walk from tourist spots and also tons of dining options. The breakfast is wonderful - and in a lovely garden room setting. I personally love the unique vibe of Cellar Bar - worth a stop-in for a drink or snack.

  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability

  • Daily Full breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom, served in the restaurant

  • Complimentary lunch or dinner from a set menu for up to two guests per bedroom, once during stay, excluding alcohol, taxes and gratuities (minimum 3-courses & value of $100 USD)

Conrad Dublin

I always love the Conrad brand and their Dublin property was no different! They have an impressive location just off St. Stephen’s Green and some rooms even have balconies - not easy to find in Dublin. I found the rooms quite large for a city hotel and the dining options a nice range from fine dining to a more casual spot downstairs. Each morning, I would walk in the park which was a great start to the day - something I had not seen on previous trips. Plus, they boast Dublin’s largest Presidential suite!

When you book with me, you receive:

  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability

  • Daily breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom

  • $100USD equivalent Resort or Hotel credit to be utilized during stay (not combinable, not valid on room rate, no cash value if not redeemed in full)

  • Early Check-In / Late Check-Out, subject to availability

Eat & Drink

As someone who LOVES an Irish pub, I was of course in bliss my entire time in Dublin where there is one on every corner - well, more than one. These are some of my favorite spots to grab a pint or a nice meal in the city:

  • Fire - a beautiful steak house with vegetarian options

  • Temple Bar - a Dublin classic

  • Vintage Cocktail Club - a really fun, speakeasy vibe

  • Toners Pub - one of the oldest and most classic pubs

  • Guinness Storehouse

  • Pen & Player - a trendy cocktail bar

  • Jameson Distillery Bow Street

  • Cornucopia - a great vegetarian spot!

LGBTQ+

The scene revolves around The George - one of the most famous LGBTQ+ bars in the world. During the day, you can grab a drink at the pub piece and, at night, you can enjoy more of a club/dancing vibe. I recommend grabbing a stamp early and going back if you want to club as the line gets long. There is a drag place called Pantibar that has drag shows - check out their IG for the show schedule. While there are not a ton of “LGBTQ+ specific spots, I find the city to be very welcoming and any bar to be friendly.
