• Check in for stay at The Westin (Photos below)

• Evening at leisure

Day 2: Lima

• Breakfast at The Westin

• Morning departure for a privately guided tour of Lima’s colonial core, including the cathedral, the Plaza Mayor and the church & catacombs of San Francisco. Founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535, this "City of Kings" served as one of Spain's most important colonial power centers for nearly three centuries. The city's historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Several of its structures—churches, palaces, convents, and catacombs—date to the 16th century.

• Afterwards, explore the Larco Herrera Museum, which houses the world’s finest private collection of pre-Columbian art. The museum’s galleries display tapestries, gold ornaments, and ceramics.

• Lunch reservation at Huaca Puccllana. Meal paid locally.

• After lunch, return to the Barranco neighborhood by private transportation and visit the Dedalo artists’ collective before returning to The Westin for time at leisure.

• Show with Sherry Vine!

Day 3: Lima to the Sacred Valley

• Early breakfast at The Westin

• Private transportation to the Lima airport for your domestic flight to Cusco.

• Fly from Lima (LIM) to Cusco (CUZ)

• Private transportation to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

• En route, visit the ancient settlement of Pisac. The hillside ruins, known as Inca Pisac, contain several baths and temples, including a Temple of the Sun. The hills above the town are also lined with ancient agricultural terraces, arrayed in the shape of a partridge (pisaca) wing, from which the area takes its name.

• Continue by private transportation to the town of Urubamba. This transfer takes approximately 20 minutes.

• Check in for stay at Hotel Tambo del Inka (Photos below)

• Evening at leisure

Day 4: Sacred Valley

• Breakfast at Hotel Tambo del Inka

• Morning departure for a privately guided tour of the valley and surrounding sites, beginning at the Inca fortress town of Ollantaytambo. This hillside citadel was a key stronghold during Manco Inca’s resistance against Hernando Pizarro in 1536. Here you can climb the massive steps of the fortress, see examples of Incan civil engineering, view the hillside granaries of Pinkuyuna and observe a sacred fountain fed by a centuries-old aqueduct.

• Ascend the Chinchero Plateau by private vehicle, for a picnic near the church at Tiobamba, which is backdropped by the massive, snowcapped peaks of the Andes.

• In the afternoon, visit the Inca gardens of Moray and the ancient saltpans of Maras, where salt is still collected using the traditional methods.

• Return to Hotel Tambo del Inka by private transportation for time at leisure.

Day 5: Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu

• Breakfast at Hotel Tambo del Inka

• Private land transportation to the Ollantaytambo train station. Transportation time is approximately 30 minutes.

• Board the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes, located at the base of Machu Picchu.

• Your guide will then lead you through the market, and you will board the shared bus service for the 30-minute switchback ascent of Machu Picchu.

• Afternoon entry for your privately guided tour of Machu Picchu. The historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu is an engineering marvel—a city in the clouds surrounded by sheer precipices. The site contains 140 known structures, including temples, palaces, ritual baths, and dwellings. The city also includes agricultural terraces and over 100 flights of stone stairs. Much of the stonework is so fine that it seems to spring organically from the living rock. Machu Picchu—"Old Mountain" in the Quechua language— straddles a ridge at approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. Far below, the Urubamba River Valley carves sharp turns around the mountain's base. Huayna Picchu—or the "Young Mountain"—serves as the citadel's principal backdrop.

• After your tour, exit the national park gate and check in for an overnight stay at Hotel Sumaq (Photos below)

• Dinner at Hotel Sumaq

Day 6: Machu Picchu to Cusco

• Breakfast at Hotel Sumaq

• Second entry to Machu Picchu with your private guide. Today’s national park tickets, tickets to a trail (Machu Picchu Mountain or Huaynapicchu), and bus tickets are included in your vacation package.

• Enjoy lunch at Indio Feliz. Meal is included.

• After visiting Machu Picchu, return to Aguas Calientes by shared bus service.

• Board the Vistadome train for your return to the Ollantaytambo train station. Dinner is included onboard.

• Upon arrival, private transportation to Cusco.

• Check-in for stay at the Hotel Palacio del Inka

• Evening at leisure

Day 7: Cusco
